The theater co-founded by Harriet Spizziri and Brian Finn in 1981. Continues to be a driving force in bringing arts and theater to the Chicago area. Next Theatre recently celebrated its 25th anniversary bringing in all the Artistic Directors that have worked and collaborated at Next in one celebration. Next Theatre is proud to have shown plays by developing artists at the early stages of their career including Pulitzer Prize winning playwright - Tracy Letts and Academy Award winner - Eric Simonson.
