Pat Toal is the subject of the documentary, "In My Living Room". In this film, he relates to Harriet in her living room, his experience in Vietnam that he often mentions in passing only to his family but never elaborated on. His legacy is to show his daughters, Megan and Allison that there are things that you are expected to do but can overcome. And after years of maintaining silence about the subject, allows himself to remember and relate this period of time in his life in a an unpopular war. His current lifetime appointment as a Federal Court Administrative Judge is his life long dream fullfilled, after several years in law and other career acheivements. His story is not ordinary nor extraordinary but its his heart and soul revealed for all of his peers and family to see, it becomes his most outstanding achievement besides the raising of his two wonderful daughthers. He understands how soldiers in Iraq and their family feel about doing your duty when told but also how it changes you forever
